Research project
Project Title: From privacy by design to privacy by using: Data management and analytics considering privacy properties on edge and serverless offerings
Objectives: This project will analyse the tools designed to protect against risks related to the exploitation of personal data and thereby refine the methodology of analysis of such risks, drawing a scheme of implementation of data management and analytics by also considering privacy properties (on top of other functional and non-functional properties) in edge computing and serverless offerings in order to modulate prevention of risks and promotion of innovation. In addition, it will suggest a renewed approach a renewed approach for contractual instruments (Terms and conditions, Privacy charter) in order to balance the asymmetry of information and improve the efficiency for resource management and provision/utilization of edge devices by individuals with specific privacy requirements; create appropriate instruments of information for the user, best practices for data brokers, and promote such instruments at an international level; establish AI-driven processes to increase the user’s ability to define in a more accurate way both his offerings in edge computing environments and the data management and analytics as regards the protection of his privacy; draw the architecture in terms of data governance and analytics linked with the resource resources management on such dynamic environments.
